ERADICATING POVERTY AND BUILDING A NATION
The P.E.A.C.E (Planning, Education, Agriculture, Cooperatives and Environment) Foundation Trust is a non profit organisation (NPO) that looks at addressing rural poverty in South Africa. The Foundation was established in 1993 as a Trust with Income Tax exemption for donors. The Foundation is an accredited recipient for Corporate Social Investment and Enterprise Development in terms of the BBBEE Scorecard requirements. The P.E.A.C.E Foundation has been audited by Sustainability Africa to align internal policies and procedures with USAID donor requirements. In rolling out projects, the Foundation uses the P.E.A.C.E Model, which facilitates the sustainability and replication of any given project wherever it might be required. The P.E.A.C.E Foundation Trust is a level 3 empowered organisation rated as 100% Black Owned as all beneficiaries are black and from previously disadvantaged communities. These beneficiaries are all represented as members of the P.E.A.C.E. Foundation Board of Trustees and make up more than 50% of the Board members.
